The Diesel Particulate Filter was developed as a standard fitting for the modern diesel vehicle. It is responsible for filtering many of the harmful chemicals that are produced as a byproduct of the combustion process.

Over time the Diesel Particulate Filter can begin to become clogged up with a build up of soot resulting in adverse effects to performance and fuel efficiency. Through a regenerative process, the exhaust temperature is brought up high enough to begin burning away the carbon deposits built up within the system. This burns away and is flushed out of the system leaving the DPF clean and unobstructed.
